Ansi Drawing Standards

I was wondering engineering drawing us ANSI Y14.5 well as the development of engineering standards British BS 8888 any help will be greatly apprichiated

I doubt you'll find someone who really knows you, but if those standards are for the building construction documents, I seriously doubt they are the same. The United States is still trying to convert to metric (well, not really trying), but the British are involved in efforts Eurocode and are probably totally metric now.

That said, I know they do not even call them the same thing - that we have registered or licensed engineers in the United States and the United Kingdom has registered engineers. We have plans and they have tender drawings.

All I know about the British drawings I've gleaned Comments Monster.com ad but it makes me pretty sure they are not the same.
