Would it be inappropriate to create or color clip art or a elementary school teacher resume? resumes and letters should stand out when applying for a teaching position, especially in this economy (I live CA).
I saw this short, I was wondering if the color clipart or save as it is not professional or appropriate consideration?

Thank you!
I would not put it there, but I used clip art in a folder of documents I have that I used for interviews. I put up samples of student work, photos of the activities we have done and write ups of my little ideas for classroom management and teaching of different subjects. I used color and clip art on this subject and I think he really did what it all together.
I have no expertise or experience in hiring people.
but my conclusion would, however, the colors could be good. . . But do use the clipart, it would be cheap / tacky.
The small color image in the sample resume is linked to your good taste and probably all right. Make sure yours is very tasteful and it will probably look kindly eyes.
I think if it serves a purpose then it could well happen. But do not go too crazy with it, it must still look professional.
Books on the example you give is appropriate. However, I would not go too far by sticking in a stupid cartoon characters, using more than one clip, or go by Legally Blonde sumbitting your resume on pink scented paper!
Keep it professional! Show your style and personality throughout your interviews and / or portfolio of teachers. :) Good luck!
I do not think it will do major damage, but I would err on the side of caution, because it probably will not help.
Are you referring to an adult or a child?
I think it is inapropraite but mostly depends on your age so young no color because it can make your boss that your immature and older if ur boss may think you're creative
