New Hall is one of the oldest Catholic schools in England. It is located in the old Tudor palace of Beaulieu in Essex. The spirituality of the Community is rooted in the Augustinian tradition and teaches students aged 3-18 years.
New Hall School is a boarding and day school for boys and girls aged three to eighteen years with residents of eight to eighteen years. Approximately one third of the senior school are boarders. Since the beginning of September 2006, New Hall opened its doors to boys and girls, both in form VI, and the 7th year. Therefore, in September 2007, there were boys in years 7, 8, 12 and 13. In September 2008, this extended to 7, 8, 9, 12 and 13, and so on. In September 2010, the school will fully co-educational.

History
The school was founded in Lige in Belgium in 1642 by Susan Hawley, who also formed the Community in English from the regular canons of the Holy Sepulchre. From the school offers a Catholic education for young girls who were denied this time in England after the Protestant Reformation. In 1794, the French Revolution forced the nuns to leave the Netherlands. The school reopened on its present site in 1799.
Buildings
It is located in the old Tudor palace of Beaulieu in Essex
In 1517, the estate was acquired by Henry VIII, who greatly expanded and improved the building and called Beaulieu. The royal arms of Henry VIII are now seeing in the school chapel. For many years the home of Mary Tudor, New Hall was subsequently granted to the Earl of Sussex by Queen Elizabeth I. Oliver Cromwell later bought the property for five shillings.
New Hall was founded in 1642 by Susan canoness a regular of the Holy Sepulchre Hawley. The school of Lia¨ge in New Hall in 1799. The Community still have close links with the school and governors as well as being involved in NHVS.
In February 2009 Channel 4's Time Team visited the site of New Hall School to search areas of the earth for the former palace of Beaulieu.

Campion House - (previously named more room, accommodation Girls 16-18) - Now houses boys 16-18 years
Earle House (formerly known as Campion house houses girls Housing 11-13) - Now Boys 8-16 years
Hawley House (formerly home girls 13-16) - Now, our girls aged 11 -16 years)
Dennett House (formerly known as Priory House, home Boys 16-18) - Now houses Girls age 16-18
