New Buddha in Nepal Ram Bahadur Bomjon was born April 9, 1990. It is also known as Palden Dorje. It is Ratanapuri village, Bara district, Nepal and is believed to be the reincarnation of Buddha by his followers. Ram Bahadur Bamjon a 18-year old Nepalese boy was said to be in deep meditation under a Peepal tree, without consuming food and water for six months. He began his meditation, May 16, 2005; allegedy disappeared from his hometown March 11, 2006, and reappeared elsewhere in Nepal 26 December 2006 only leave again March 8, 2007. On December 25, 2006, villagers in Bara district spotted Bomjon meditate. He wore a sword for protection in the jungle, reminding reporters that "Even Gautama Buddha had to protect", and claimed to have eaten nothing. On26 March 2007, inspectors from the Area police station in Nijgadh Ratanpuri Bomjon is meditating in a bunker-type square ditch of seven feet.
The reputation of the child has grown rapidly, drawing a growing number of faithful. Ram Bahadur Bomjon was bitten by a snake, but he refused any medical treatment saying he could not be cured by meditation alone.
