Chinese Language Teachers Association

Chinese Language Teachers AssociationWhat should I study for the next future employment in America?

I am a senior college student from Taiwan, right now I'm feeling quite confused about my future: I am a graduate of the Russian language, and I attended the Student Association at the school for 3 years (as Vice-President for one year), I want to get my masters in America. In fact, I'll immigrate legally to the U.S. soon, so I need to study something to help my future career, the problem is, I have no idea what to study.

My aunt who works for the U.S. military told me to study computer science, because she thinks I can get a good job with it. She also told me as a foreigner, I am interested in international relations, international journalism, marketing, and language, will not help me to find any gainful employment. To her, only high-tech jobs to Asia will earn a living. Is this true?

I got responses from some good friends to be a translator can not be a good choice. Can someone give me an idea what I can study for my future job as possible rather than Chinese teacher? Thx

The options are endless, limited only by your imagination and the mind free your mind.

Information systems is a hot area where you can write your ticket around the world. Networks and security systems would be my recommendation in the specific field of informatics.

Langugae is a large field, intrepreting and education that you mentioned, the two main options.

The field of health care continues to grow in the U.S. and abroad. There are many opportunities in this area of care administration.

Enforcement is an area of increasing the application and administration of corrections. Not an area that I recommend, but important area, which will remain and grow.

Business services offer unlimited options, using your language skills as a writer of technical or administrative documents.

The most important is what you do best and what to do? If you can find this area and break you have met a total success in your life guaranteed.

Take the tourism industry. Many jobs are there; managining, operation and maintenance of properties and transport systems. Planning Officer.

Big dreams.

Listen to your aunt! And you'll always have a great job!

In fact, I think your interest in international relations, international journalism, marketing, and language, can actually help you find a job with many Fortune 500 companies. Many companies need people who can speak foreign languages, especially in Asian markets like Taiwan, and since we went into the new millennium. The global economy is slowly but surely move into Asia. This means that people can speak both languages of Asia and English is a product company.

But this is not your interest to help others also very useful in politics. But going into this area, you must become a U.S. citizen. And the few people I know who did it said he is not so easy. But if you can choose to become a translator for a statesman who is goin 'to another country, or a translator at the UN, perhaps even a translator for the news agency. You can also join the army of the United States and since you have degrees most likely to develop as an officer.

These are the only ones I can think of right now so I hope I was some help for you.

In the us there was an article on the front page of Yahoo ... I can not find it at this moment, but he said the areas where employers in the United States seeking to fill positions. If I remember they were sales representatives for each sector in high demand technical trades: automotive mechanics, electricity, plumbing skills, ... to name a few three. To succeed, you must be trained in areas where we seek to fill these openings. .. Good luck and wow. You are very W.
