Drawing tablet? I am an aspiring artist and I really like drawing anime and other art forms.
I want to buy a tablet, but they seem expensive.
How difficult is it to adapt to the use of it?
What is the best type to buy for personal
non-commercial use?
Hi Misty,
I use a digital tablet for my work as a photographer. The first question you have to ask yourself is will you buy a tablet is what you get in selling your work. I have a Wacom Intuos 3 6x8 size and I use it every day to touch up my images and make digital Watercolor portraits of children. It takes some getting used to the way the pen feels like you are working on the tablet. Maybe you could ask someone who has one if you could give it a try before investing in one.
You'll need software such as Photoshop, but the software from another table that you want called Corel Painter. I have Painter IX. There is another expense to begin.
Painter is a complex program and takes time to master. If you buy the Wacom tablet, which I think are the best, they do not understand Painter Classic you can start with this first. They even include CD tutorial on how to configure your tablet. Check Ebay for your tablet. I have a lot to me and it was brand new. Better buy one bigger than the little ones are only 4 x 5 in size. In addition, you'll need at least 512MB of RAM in your computer's memory for the tablet to function. I hope this helps with your decision.
i sugest a Bamboo Wacom Tablet drawing. Unlike other tablets he gave a pen on paper feel instead of a pen on plastic feel. its sensitivity to pressure and the small black and cost about $ 55. I have one and theyre just amazing Report Abuse
I worked happily for the last six years with my cheap 4 x 6 partners Wacom Pen. I felt little need to move to a larger, more expensive model, despite what many other artists can say.
Recently I bought a shelf mark outside the computer on my grand-daughter of a company called geeks (www.geeks.com). It was very cheap, on sale for $ 49 plus postage. And at the time, they had two for one offer! (Part Number: WP5540)
I've installed a few weeks ago, and it works as well as my Wacom.
For the price, you can not go wrong with it as a way of knowing how it works and how you can work with it.
