Drawing a human head from different viewpoints? I looked everywhere on the Internet and I can not find a tutorial that can show me how to draw a head for a quarter of a head (turned slightly away) and udnerneath a bit. What I mean is the person is turned slightly away and looked a bit if you see the underside of the jaw a little. Can anyone tell me where I can find a tutorial that can teach me to draw the profile acurately?
Yes, shadowgirl, agree with Brian. Not that the formulas are at the end of the world, but you can get a bit trapped in and sort of get everybody the same way rather than going to the experience of looking at every new thing ( head, person), as is the first time.
So I too will say that for a life drawing class is much better than any online tutorial. In addition, you an experienced teacher who can tell you when things happen and when they are not.
So I learned to draw. . . . not that I feel I "know" how to draw, but drawing from live models over and over and over, and there is no substitute.
Any tutorial that will teach you simple formula. There is not a substitute for a real model, or as a last resort a mirror and lots of practice.
