Eco Friendly Pencils

Since wooden pencils are made of wood it is obvious that they use the trees.
But use plastic mechanical pencils.

Which is more environmentally friendly?

I would say that the mechanical system is because you just add the initiative AND if you take care of pencil it will last you a long time
