I'm in a figure drawing class and I wondered who would be good for some artists reference? I am interested by Gustav Klimt and Aubrey Beardsly as well as drawing figure is concerned. Who else would be fun to watch?
Jeno Barcsay "Anatomy for the Artist" is a good book
and my art teacher recommended models.
Schiele
is another artist.
His works are provocative (I personally do not feel comfortable with ...), but its lines, colors and textures are incredible.
Leonardo Da Vinci is an ultimate source of drawings of characters, too. You should check some of his sketches.
(Almost all "Masters" have drawn very good figures)
Gahh .. there is more to the tip of the tongue, but I do not remember his name.
there was a drawer famous person who has very nice, simple gesture drawings.
He has a huge collection of drawings gesture, he has dancers-he drew on the spot while they danced ... I will get back to you once I know who he was (not Degas ... but it is also an artist is good)
