High School Homeschool Curriculum

High School Homeschool CurriculumWhat a good homeschool program for high school?

I recently started to be homeschooled, and need a program for the remainder of the year. A program lasts one semester would be great if possible. I'm in Grade 9, but in most of the advanced classes, it would also be nice to be able to choose individual courses I can take. It does not matter if it is computerized or paper / books, as it is not incredibly expensive. If you are homeschooling, do not hesitate to say it / you are using, and your opinion on this subject.

Tons of homeschool information can be found at this site:

Hello,
It may take a "try" before you're able to find the right thing for you. I do not think that courses are full credit in one semester chunks. You might have to choose an appropriate manual and jump wherever you think you fit in..

If you want to look very traditional approach to Abeka or Bob Jones University Press. (I do not use neither the time, but I used their textbooks from time to time)

Try:
Apologia Science
Teaching of mathematics textbooks (school-great CDs!)
Abeka World Literature
Bob Jones French-
History-avoid manuals for most, because they tend to be too bound to be interesting. Following a guide, I have my children read books on the subjects mentioned therein. Currently they are covering all integrated world and American history with tapestries grace, but I do not recommend it for you right now.

Look in books Foster Genevieve (World Augustus Caesar, Columbus, George Washington, Lincoln) each take a slice of history and describe what is happening in the world. Very interesting, but better understood if you have at least a little background on the historical period covered.

All the best.

Bob Jones, I really liked the course I took from them, and I used the books, not only in the school-house, but some of them when I went to a private school
Saxon math is
Abeka

You can often find programs on school sites. I know you're not in the traditional school, but it is a good starting point ...
