GH: You work on a new album, right. How is it goin '?

MR: Well, now I'm writing and recording as I go. I want this next record to be processed in an intimacy almost nuclear. Probably a bit raw. I have a lot on my mind lately. So far, it's a collection of beautifully apocalyptic love songs. I always loved Everyday Is Like Sunday by Morrissey. So, at some level, this song is the measure of these next songs.

GH: Is this a self-financed album?

MR: I decided that labels do not have the best interests of the art in mind. So my manager and is the complete dismantling of our "label" of relations with the United States. However, we will probably stay with One Little Indian in the United Kingdom. They are a good group of people, and I think that with the participation of Bjork, they continue to support artists and their work.

GH: Do you have some "good" you'll find on this new album?

MR: I want the next record to sound like this picture.

Not because it's a photo of me, but because it could be a lively conversation with someone.

GH: What is the songwriting process for you? Do you incorporate the ideas of the band during the process?

MR: This next album will be a solo album, a full expression of me and how I see the world, love and politics and time for men, women and their dreams.

GH: Do you think that "some streets lead nowhere" will make the album, or just happens to be one?

MR: Some streets will most likely be the next album, because it marks the birth of this next record. I think 10 or 11 songs. I want this record to move like a beautiful film.

GH: So you just released the single, "some streets lead nowhere." What was the inspiration for the song?

MR: Rehabilitation was what I had in mind with this song. My thought was, that life can bring a mist or a sense of distance between what we want and want what we do. Love is always the perfect metaphor for those things that can inspire us and destroy us. This song is about a woman. And how knowledge can lead to blindness. This is something we must fight against.

GH: It was the song finished before you've seen the episode?

MR: Yes.

GH: The song was the theme of the score of an episode of "One Tree Hill". How was it to score your second project?

MR: It was great. We moved at a rapid pace. The story lead me to stuff enough ambient and emotional. I found out by releasing my own story or a theme for a week.

GH: Did you feel the weight of any expectations going into the note of the episode?

MR: I do. Scoring is a difficult job. Like the song, it is riddled with cliches as possible. I just tried to be as honest as I could.

GH: Do you have marked a difficult project?

MR: It was a challenge.
