I had a debate once with a black student at the university who insisted that homosexuality is a "white" thing and it has never been homosexuals in Africa before Europeans arrived. But it makes no sense.

Why is Africa the exception? Or is it the black homophobia?

This is called ignorance and ego.

It is generally insecure who claim that the things they do not like their people came from an outside source.

Africa is no exception to the rule. There are people of all nationalities who have different sexual preferences. Perhaps you've never met a black homosexual, but not all of us are homophobic

Im African and homosexuality is strictly, and I mean strictly prohibited everywhere. so I think if there were perhaps 1,000 of them throughout Africa. u know so do not argue ok? when I was in a boarding school in Nigeria, if u never been accused of gay ur life was virtually over. But to answer ur question, it certainly exists. but it is so small compared to cultures everywhere else on earth.

If there were no homosexuals in Africa, there would be no discrimination against homosexuals in Africa.

It is the opinion of Guy. I'm so glad you said "sure" that his views to him, not the entire race. Many blacks do not consider the African country of origin since the majority of "African" Americans are born here in America to American parents.
