I need to know because im getting a laptop

Today, its pretty much a term interchangeable laptop used to be a little large and needed to sit on your knees, now they are about the size of a nnotebook

A netbook is a smaller version with a screen smaller than 13 inches (usually around 8)

they vary in size

Notebook and laptop computers are the same. The difference is simply laptop is the old model of laptop.
