Learn Pencil Sketching Ą Scribblers

I want to learn drawing in pencil. What is the best way to learn? Is there a particular book to read?

I have no artistic training or training, and I'm in my 50. Thank you all.

Practice, practice, practice .. That's what I think will help you develop skills ... And when you have finished a little sketch, and that you do not keep still! because of what you can see what pieces of your techniques you need to work on!

When you look at something that you want to render, you must first visualize many different forms. When you see a pop lolly, you see a big circle and a small rectangle to a stick.

In addition to recognizing the basic shapes to get the contour (all the curves and bumps more detailed), begins with this simple exorcism. Set a small article in the center of your drawing, a piece of paper and a pencil in front of you. Follow every curve of the matter with your eyes and try to repeat the path with your hand. After doing this a few times trying it without lookng at hand at all. With enough practice this should help you exorcise.

Practice, trial and error. There are many books to learn the basics, but nobody can really teach you how to fill a blank page with something artistic. Start with something simple like a piece of fruit and just keep looking and trying to attract. Analyze all the details. You can not let anything or will not look the same. Good luck.
