When we teach creativity and creative problem solving skills, the first rule that we give is "suspending his trial. Is the root to brainstorm for you.

What do we mean by a trial? One type of decision is to use our intelligence to assess an idea of the facts, after we have collected and information. Our neo-cortex, that "new" part of the human brain that lower species do not, sifts through the data, based on our experience, perhaps making some calculations, and we make a evaluation. We reason consciously. Because this process is aware that it is easier to control and extinguish and relight.

Another type of trial is, well, sneaky. This time someone enters a room, and according to their appearance as we receive an internal alert that would say: "Attention" or "I do not trust her. All based on appearance. This is the Judgement, Decree happens on a level barely conscious. Lizard is the brain at work. The Lizard brain is concerned with survival. It lies at the base of the skull at the top of the spine. It is our brain. Evolutionists will tell you that we've had since we are - - Lizards. The brain's response to any Lizard, if any at all, is limited to the following ... eat, attack, flight, or mate. Survival. In the modern world, our survival is not threatened while on a daily basis. (Lizards do not have the well-being, we do.) So what brought a survival Lizard Brain?

Worried about his own survival, the brain Lizard adopted an advisory role for our social survival. He remembers when it crashed and burned in a social situation. He remembers the teacher who made us the finger and making fools of ourselves in front of the class. But the Lizard brain is not known for its finesse. Worldwide Lizard brain, things are pretty black and white, and never our fault. This makes it a poor consul for the stratosphere colorful human relations.

So, our brain naturally Lizard snap judgments. And while our brain is busy Lizard react following happens: 1) our mind is engaged in such fear and imprecise judgments based on the task at hand. We do not contribute. and 2) Someone else sat up in our body language guarded and perhaps begin to feel themselves or considered conservative. They do not contribute. The goal is to become aware of these snap judgments. Recognize the fear based reaction provided by the Lizard Brain, "Hmm, thank our lizard brain for him one day he could save his life, then engage the neocortex in the task ahead.

Imagine this: at a meeting in your office, the new kid on the staff tosses an idea to increase efficiency. The Production Manager Lizard brain interprets this as a criticism. (This should be changed, and perhaps it will fail.) They attack. He noted that something similar has been tried before, but did not work because it confuses people and rising costs. Then, the boss asks New Guy what he would do to alleviate these problems. (New Guy has not considered this time, and was caught off guard.) It looks stupid.

The sum of the meeting. New Guy Lizard Brain warn him not to speak the next time he has a new idea. The production manager was rewarded for his attack and that the behavior will be strengthened on the back of his head. The new idea is shot and the old road gets points for crushing the change. None of these contributes to a creative and productive.

The possibility to suspend its ruling, especially the "barely conscious" of the reactions shown by the Lizard brain is an important first step in transforming any environment in a positive way.
