You must be willing to hit people with a big stick, to prevent them from falling asleep - other than that you just want to know many techniques to help people to think, maybe a little koan or something .. .
I guess you have to be patient, but this is no different from a true master ...

I suppose the teachers themselves to the mind must be peace first ..

I say, good communication skills, empathy, sympathy, altruism, energy, kindness, learning, intelligence, understanding and confidence in them, (and that vigilance and concentration) of a high order - higher than lay teachers. :-)
