Middle School Math

I am in school to be a elementary school teacher, but I would also be a medium can be a mathematics teacher, high school. My degree will be liberal studies / education, but what are the steps I could take to teach Middle / high school mathematics?

I got a degree in education, with emphasis in elementary education. My major was Fine Arts and my minor was math / social science.
My teaching certificate stated that I was qualified to teach K-8 9 (all subjects), and ninth year of Fine Arts.
Check with your state, but I think you can get a minor in mathematics and that the transfer of your securities.
