Notebook Memory

I just bought a laptop Dell Inspiron E1405. It is supposed to have 60 GB hard drive, but when I install a new program (the Add / Remove menu displays as having less than 100MB of memory) or put a small file, I check the hard disk memory and reduced more than 1 GB !!!!!

What could be the reasons for such a significant decrease in memory, and how can I solve this problem??

Memory and disk space are two different things.

"Add / Remove" programs are often very badly - not only on the programs installed, but how often ", they are used, and disk space they occupy. You can check the exact amount of disk space used by right-clicking on the folder you created for the facility - which will give you a good idea.

Personally, I would view this activity as possible Downloader. Search for the largest files on your PC and check if you put them there. Hopefully this is a mistake.

Is the drive actually met? Or is it just a small concern Windows?

I want to save the files on your want to keep (on DVD or Blu-ray preference) and reformat the hard drive. With a little luck he bootloader is not one which should eliminate the problems.

Or better yet buy a new HDD! 60gig is tiny! Back up your data as indicated above, then buy a new one from Newegg.com.

Tip: all the viruses / spyware / etc I never got was on a porn site, most often with Internet Explorer.

Run a defragmenter on your computer, you can sort your computer files, to reduce the amount of space used, and give you an accurate display of how much space you have left in percent. To run a defragmentation go to the Start menu, then System Tools, Programs, then Accessories, and then, and then defragmenter.
