Notebook SubwooferReview of HP Pavilion HDX Dragon Computer

The 20.1 'HP HDX is something of a hi-tech thriller. If anyone has ever study Digital Fortress by Dan Brown (DaVinci Code fame) is actually the supercomputer they must've used to crack codes. From the namesake Dragon sticker on the cover of the extended keyboard below, everything about this notebook screams "finest". At a price almost five large, it is much more responsive to her gaze. We'll find out.

In a word, no. This monster weighs 15.5 pounds, and also the screen 20.1 'does not fit easily into anything. There is no catch, although the weight to be used usually sufficient to keep up. The HDX has been created as a desktop unit and not a device to travel. To give you an object of comparison, here is the HDX against his cousin, the HP Pavilion dv2000t 14 'widescreen.

If the HP is covered by a sticker simply recognized that the finish "Dragon footprint". It covers the whole eyelid and above the volume control when the monitor is raised.

About the most interesting features of the HDX can be the way compliance is mounted unit. It uses a hinge that turns silver at both the base and at the intersection of the hinge to observe. The reason for this hinge is twofold. Very First, they observe a higher degree of movement which is useful given the large size display screen. Secondly, it is attached more securely than a hinge type, and liberates the monitor torque caused by lifting the lid as a conventional hinge. With "20.1 observed twist enough can do damage.

Sports 101-key keyboard, which includes a dedicated keypad to the right, something I have not seen in notebooks that I reviewed in the past. Fifteen tactile line control at the top of the keyboard backlight in bright blue. They control all options of DVD, wireless access and volume control.

Left of the keyboard is among the more manageable than the HDX devices offer the remote. This 43 room keys at all, certainly the most complex remote I've seen for a laptop.

The touchpad sits in a valley between the palm rest, and bounded by a surface textured like other HP laptops. The two buttons below the touchpad to easily and provide decent feedback, even if they felt too soft on the model that we have received.

It was actually a non-problem using the system. The dual air inlets at the back are a superb job of keeping the air moving. In discussing (what is written on the fate HDX) unit by the heat very low, although much heat was left of the vent (near the power cord) that the right choice. Of course, I was only using Microsoft Word and Internet Explorer, so that the load on the processors have been minimal.

The notebook is dominated by a 20.1 "WSXGA Ultra BrightView widescreen high Defnition display. Even given their name, the monitor is particularly bright, probably due to the double-fire as energy images.

HP has done a great job using the HDX on the audio. It sports four Altec Lansing speakers built into the back of the watch, and a real subwoofer that fires through the surface vibrations that you are.

Our model came with the HP standard battery 9-cell lithium-ion battery. It is not enough to power this PC for long, so I think it is much more like an emergency a real asset.

That is what this laptop really is. I use the term laptop is only in the nostalgic sense. There is virtually nothing on this laptop that is conducive to putting on your knees. It weighs nearly 16 pounds and is large enough to eclipse even the most generous thighs.

It looks like a winner in your box, and did not disappoint throughout the procedure. When you can not justify the price, the laptop of the finest entertainment.
