Nursery School TeacherHow to help your child adjust to kindergarten

Going to kindergarten can be a big adjustment for both parent and child, especially for parents who send their first child and he is not accustomed to what they are going through and for children who 'used to be with mom or dad constantly throughout the day.

If you are concerned about how your child will be able to adapt to the nursery school on a regular basis are things you can do to help them settle in their first day and first experiences in this regard?

One of the best things you can do throughout the child's early years is to make a practice of leaving him with a babysitter or with another parent, even if just for a few hours here and there.

This means that your child is accustomed to being under the care of strangers and will not be frightened by the idea of someone other than Mom or Dad to take care of them.

It is interesting to see how children in large families and parents who both work appear to adapt better in kindergarten than children who rarely let anyone else.

When it is time for your child to kindergarten sure to bring to the facility before the first day. Walk through him the whole building and show them the toys and games they can play with.

Introduce your child to teachers. Make sure your child is very familiar with the kindergarten itself before time to leave him there.

Some nursery schools will allow a parent to sit close to the first day when you're not interfere with school activities, but the child knows you are always there. If this is not possible, make sure your child understands what will happen that first day and every day after.

The way you present this information will go a long way towards the attitude of your child about kindergarten and whether or not the child is going to hope or fear that she.

If you say something like: "If you have a problem or are not like other kids, mom will be there to pick you, then you have planted the idea in mind that there could be a problem or Other children might be mean.

However, if you say something like, "I know how much you loved all the toys we have seen and how much you love the name of the staff [of] you can play with them all day! How's that noise?"

Now, the child understands that the Kindergarten is a fun adventure with people he loves and the activities they look forward, rather than something to dread.
