Password Notebook

My brother has blocked my laptop one account with password. But unfortunately, he forgot the password which has no index recorded in the computer. How can we break the password to use the laptop again? Please help me, please. I do not know enough about computer hardware and software. Please guide me what to do in detail.

Open your notebook
press F8 repeatedly until a screen comes with different options.
select Safe Mode and press Enter
After some time, your laptop is open in safe mode
Go to control panel
Double-click "User Accounts"
Click on your username
Select Remove password (you will not be asked for the password of origin do not worry)
Click Enter.
Then click Restart.
press F8 again until you see
Choice Normal
Wait a bit
your laptop is open and you can use it.
