What Happens when you take a computer running at 500 MHz which is well known by everyone (even the manufacturer) to get you maximum of 257MB of RAM (Fujitsu LT C-500) and post a map of 512 MB in it and it works like this guy ...

He said: "The Fujitsu Stylistic LT-500C has a Celeron 500Mz which is all it takes. The max RAM is supposed to be 256 but I had a spare card NoteBook PC100 512MB RAM, put in Presto and 512 MB of RAM, go figure. "
Would it burn something?
You can put 512 GB in the computer where the camera would take the card. The computer memory addresses to a certain maximum address - everything past that is just using the power for any reason. It will not burn.
Uhhhhh. . . no? At worst, the computer would not be able to access more than 256MB of the 512MB of RAM.
I put 256 in a laptop that has a maximum of 192 MB and it worked fine, but never entered the last 64.
