Members for a crossbow? Please read all =) High-party members holding a crossbow the string? Good morning. I make a crossbow, and I need help on suggestions for OSME c'bow members. So far, I have a pencil, pen, and c'bow wood. Wood is the best, and I decided to do another, except with the various members-.
My first attempt to reach members of the stock of wood that I didn't go so well. I used a lipstick, flexible, durable and flexible. I nailed to the end of the wooden stock. I then carved (with a hunting knife from my father, do not worry, it doesn't go hunting with him) entered within the borders of the stick, 1-2 inches from the edge wand. The stick was badly cracked. The fingernail (2.3 to 3.5 inches in length being about), went deep into the stock. It is still loose, and I can take it if I wanted, but I may as well make another, bigger, better. Anyway, the stick was cracked about a half inch on both sides.
If you have any ideas of what members c'bow I can use, pleae suggest.
Thank you
It seems that you nailed directly by the xpiece on the stock? I can not recommend this stress directly on the xpiece would probably lead to divide the pressure point. Most crossbows use a bracket assembly for attaching the rail to the stock. Could you cut a few cans with tin ships and create media. and use screws not nails. drill pilot holes to reduce splitting. You can use the nail as a punch in the mold.
