Pictures Of Pencils

Pictures Of PencilsWhich method do you use to color "realistic" pictures with crayons?

Like instead of just shading your drawing with a pencil ebony, what method do you use a color image and make it "look" of life like?

I found some crayons cheaper to do the job as well as making "professional" pencils.
I begin with a light color value (such as a gray warm or cold) and draw the whole composition, just to establish values (by pressing for full dark, at least for half-tones and allowing White "open"), I found that with smooth bristol board slate is excellent for a homogeneous image of realistic depth.
Remember to layer the different elements to create color gradients, etc. you can not "pre-mix the color you want to end up with.
... Sorry for being so verbose. Good luck!

You need high quality pencils like Prismacolor, and mix them all in shades.

Use a textured paper, such as paper color of water ... You can also use an instrument called Prisma colors, a real good set of colored pencils. It has many different shades, depending on how many you buy. Also, I use a sheet of paper rolled up with a patch of shade colors ... always go from light to dark. Your finger works well, but it is messy and transfers on paper. Wait until the last color is befroe you use black. We must get used to, but that's half the fun.

no color 2 thick with parismacolors or color becomes gray, using a strain mixture works well too

Work very very slightly and set up your sunglasses as you go along. Cross hatching your colors is a way to get skin tones og subtle and precise. Good luck!
