What are the opportunities available for teachers during the summer? I am a first-grade teacher, and I was wondering what activities are available or recommended after your first year of teaching. I want to do something abroad or at home which is financially rewarding and exciting experience. Please give me some suggestions
As a first year teacher, I must assume that you are very young, and like most Americans, you want to see Europe (or any other overseas destination) RIGHT NOW.
My advice, and I've been there, done that, is to see America first!
See what you have here before you try to decide where the best place "in the world could be. If you do what I suggest could be a very pleasant surprise.
Now, try applying for a summer job as a nature guide in one of our national parks (eg, Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Glacier, etc.). Or be willing to work part time at the a job less attractive service in a U.S. destination that appeals to you.
And finally, stay away from teaching! You need a break and a way to recharge your psche!
Good luck.
sometimes you might be able to get a job teaching subjects repair or summer school. migght you or even be someone tutor.
For me, the best chance is to teach English at private language langauge in Iran (my country). Thus, depending on what you teach, you can find offers of employment schools.Maybe you can take a trip in my country to see if you can do my job. you r welcome at any time.
At the end of the school year, the only time that may appeal to you is a cold Corona on a warm beach away from 11 million screaming, needy children and their parents indulgent, self-centered.
Enjoy!
best summer activities ... shades, sunscreen and a pool chair reserved
Summer School Learn to Clovis, New Mexico. They pay out the wazoo!
There is not much you can do this within two months abroad who would be financially rewarding and exciting. For example, if you went to teach English in a summer camp for Korean children, you must pay your own airfare. You would probably only save about $ 1,000 in six weeks.
Maybe you could teach a semester abroad in a kind of exchange program. :)
