Special education is the education of students with special needs in a manner that takes into account individual differences of students and their needs. Ideally, this process involves the individual and systematic monitoring of available methods of teaching, adapted equipment and materials, accessible settings, and other interventions to assist learners with special needs to achieve a level higher personal self-sufficiency and success in school and community would be available if the student was only given access to a typical classroom.
