Appreciation Week Teacher - return the gift of education with assessment Our country has never seen such excitement in most of our lives. The economy, unemployment, reform health care, viruses, wars and natural disasters have combined to take the wind of the sails of our progress. Most think we have made great strides backward.
With a recession, while suffering. We can not go out to eat, buy new cars or even new clothes. Worse still, many children have also suffered.
One area that we can not let the children down with education. Once we dig the hole we created, it is our youth who will be charged with the responsibility of rebuilding our nation and move it in the right direction. But guess what? That will not happen if we do not provide funding for school programs and rewards for teachers who contribute to young minds.
Students need to learn the history of charting the course for this new world, but they need time to restore some of our excellent knowledge of mathematics, science and languages to cure disease, discover new technologies and build alliances with other countries.
Teachers are the bridge to the future and it is vital to their mouth and tools to create students. Teacher Appreciation Week , held May 3 to 10 in 2010 is the best time to see educators and school support staff that we are behind them and recognize their achievements.
This is not a question of parenting, but a commitment by the entire community for our future. Families, PTA / PTO organizations, administratos school district and municipal leaders must take command and organize events for the recognition of teachers. Schools should be decorated and useful gifts and souvenirs should be given to every teacher and staff member. The feeling of satisfaction will help strengthen the pride and motivate educators today to go beyond the difficult times.
