Teacher Resource Center

The Covenant Home School Resource Center began as a Christian school to open in 1978, but in its current configuration in 2001. Even back in the beginning the Covenant Home School Resource Center was known for its openness to teaching part time at home wishing additional classes. Karen Borg, the director, had been a teacher and principle in the home school and took a lot from this experience and knowledge in the Covenant Home School Resource Center.

Covenant Home School Resource Center - A brief history

In early 2000, plans were laid to develop the Covenant Home School Resource Center. During the next year there was much discussion and several meetings and workshops have been scheduled. At the end of the year, the Covenant Home School Resource Center had a large collection of books, a 1600 square feet, and a lot of faith and devotion.

With that, they opened their doors in August 2001 and ready to do everything possible to help working families educate their children in the Christian way home. Fast forward a year in April of 2002 and with over 200 member families and over seventy children taking courses in everything from science to music of the Covenant Home School Resource Center has been fighting full.

The library was filled with hundreds of books for children to use and other workshops for all basic needs have been established. The following year the school has more than doubled in height and by the third year, it reached its peak with nearly 200 members of the group. It does not include the hundreds of children who have benefited from what the Covenant Home School Resource Center and continued their studies at home.

Donations of books and other resources flow and the school has managed to keep up to date and well stocked on all the materials to keep the kids ready and prepared for everything they needed. As you can see the Covenant Home School Resource Center is a shining example of what is possible when people are dedicated to a cause and work together. Another school is home to Midlands resource center.
