I just finished reading the book one of Milton's Paradise Lost. My professor was discussing how Satan is described as a hero, but I'm a little confused. How Statan a hero in Paradise Lost?

Satan is a hero because he works and reign hell on people who are not wanted or accepted in the sky. He is a hero in the sense that he is a jailer. In addition, it maintains the balance and the balance between good and evil. I do not think you can have one without the other. Pax-C

Satan in Paradise Lost could be considered a tragic hero because he occupied a high and noble, but ended up falling for her because of the flaw of pride.
