How can I find a tennis coach, if none are listed in my Yellow Pages? I am a beginner 40 years, living in a pop-city. 100,000,2 universities in the city. How can I get a tennis coach that will not cost an arm and a leg, and how can I expect to spend?
If you post a bulletin on the two campuses, you will probably find a student wants. Expect to pay about $ 20 an hour. If you are looking for a true professional you can expect to pay at least double that amount. However, many teachers offer group classes at a discounted rate if you do not mind sharing a court with at least 3 other players. I would suggest looking for a local tennis club and explain that you're interested in learning how to play, and you can probably find a club member who is willing to give you a lesson a week for about $ 10 to 15 per hour. If you're in Northern CA, you can send me an e-mail.
Use the Internet for Yahoo Local. You should be able to get something, even if it is the two coaches University.
There must be a tennis club in your area where a trader has a pro shop and offers lessons. Find the number in the yellow pages, call, and the cost of lessons.
I hope this helps.
Good luck!

Word of mouth is usually the best. Ask any people you may know that play. Also perhaps go to court and talk to other players responsible for knowing.
