Using a truck battery on Toshiba laptop? I have a Toshiba 900 MHz. the battery is a little weak. I want the notebook to use a battery of 12 V instead of trucks. What should I do to go about this.
Do not do it. It could create a fire. Never mix batteries of laptop computers.
the amperage is all wrong it fry the laptop
do
Buy a car adapter for your Toshiba, son of a data port or cigarette lighter to it and go.
I'm just dying to watch you go through security at the airport with the whip in place in the laptop bag (LOL).
Good Luck
Too much amperage, will fry your computer
Early poster is right, get a car adapter for your Toshiba. This can be costly. So go to Radio Shack AC adapter with you and may you one fixed DC kits for about $ 30. You should get the tension right, you will find this info on the label of the adapter, then get an add-on 12v recepticle (female). Connect the son of one of the + and - terminals of the battery. Dirty Harry says that you have a 50-50 chance to do right hip while you got to wonder "what I fell lucky?" And do you - punk? :-)
You will need a certain type of battery box, you do not want to touch the terminals any metal. tape or pieces of cardboard together so it slides over the battery, just leave the handle exposed. No wristband? Former strap laptop bag can be shaped in a sling. Do you have a hernia? Well, you.
