looking for good value laptop:
- Ultra-light, preferably in the lite as possible, but under 1.7 kg definetely
- Under $ 800 U.S. for the new brand
- Screen 11-14 "

Good luck. I do not know of any laptop in this weight class for the price level that you are watching. I'm sorry but you're just going to have to go up to 2.4 kg (5.4 pounds), which is the lightest I could find in your price range. What you are looking for simply does not exist (at this price).

Ultra light and you DONT prices still exist. You can get another 5.4 pounds for your price point. Samsung is out with a UMPC last year, but their price level is higher than what they wanted .... Search the web for the Samsung Q1 ... this is not a traditional laptop ... no keyboard, mouse and a tiny screen.
