Photos of the benches / chairs for a garden? I'm re-design of a garden at school. It is a school project. Im thinking of designing a bench or stool, everything that anyone can sit.
What is the best:
1. wood or
2. metal
Im thinking of simple drawings. not like those fancy, but adequate for a school. I've never done this before. How do I start? I'm looking for pictures of different designs of benches, but I found the fantasy with patterns, sculptures, and all very complicated ...

If you're looking benches simple why not go with a mission style Amish or (do a search mission or benches Amish on the net). Sleek and simple, but you can play with blades and the use of different sizes or textures to give a little pizazz. Wood is easier to work with and if sealed properly held for years outside.
As this is a school may establish an aspect of recycling. Find reclaimed wood from an old house to burn or a demonstration site, set tires recylced steps placed in the slats for something beyond the ordinary. Think long term and what you want this project to say about you and what you want to say to those who will use the garden.
